To support families in the Republic of Georgia affected by the August 2008 Russia-Georgia War by providing scholarships and other valuable educational opportunities to students and youth from the Gori Region.



About GREF

The Gori Regional Education Fund (GREF) is a registered NGO in the Republic of Georgia founded by former US Peace Corps Volunteers and young Georgian professionals.  GREF was established in August 2008 following the Russia-Georgia War to aid in the recovery of Gori and its surrounding villages. GREF provides scholarships for students attending Gori University and offers innovative business training programs.  GREF aims to build a culture of self-sufficiency and optimism through education and entrepreneurship.
